When our founder, Glen Ferrarotto, an Afghanistan Veteran, launched the Ironside brand in 2012, his focus was to ‘help guys and girls leaving the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to secure new, rewarding jobs that recognised their skills and values’.
As our business developed, we chaired discussions around the need for programs to support all transitioning Veterans and were one of the earliest advocates of the value Veterans could bring to the Australian workforce. Ironside pioneered Veteran employment initiatives around the country.

Veteran Employment Programs
Ironside has developed this initiative to provide for organisations. We have many successful programs that were specially tailored for the employer’s needs. We have established strong partnerships with some of Australia’s most reputable organisations, based on this shared value initiative to create more accessible futures for the Defence Veteran community. Our partner programs open the door to new careers within these organisations all year round, across multiple roles and levels, to take on intakes of veterans at one time, in either small or large groups.
Labour Workforce
In early 2018, we embarked on an exciting journey with the launch of our Labour Hire service, ‘Ironside Labour Workforce.’ This big move established Ironside as Australia’s first-ever Employment Service Provider dedicated to offering Veteran-exclusive Labour Hire services.
As demand for contractors in Australia rises, knowing the candidate pipeline and its development is crucial for future workforce sustainability. If hiring Veterans under a labour hire arrangement is part of your strategy, Ironside Resources is your ideal partner. We also specialise in ex-defence contracted staff through our Veteran Employment Programs.
